What Our Customers Are Saying About Us:
Milton
Sarah was amazing! She came to see us the same day we called her (even though it wasn’t an emergency and it was a Saturday). When she arrived, she was very knowledgeable and informative, and helped us to choose a new furnace and air conditioner – both to be installed two days later. Very professional and very highly recommend contacting her when your furnace clearly needs to be replaced. We have had nothing but professional service from Reliance to date.
Needed a new furnace, reliance was able to send Daniel out the same day. Daniel was very nice and re commended what we needed and was helpful the whole time. He was a great help and very nice about everything we needed.

Your 5-point Furnace Checklist
Reliance Home Comfortâ„¢ is always happy to send one of our professional furnace technicians to your home to help in a home heating emergency. But sometimes, fixing your furnace is as simple as flipping a switch.
Our 5-point furnace checklist may just save you the cost and inconvenience of an unnecessary call.
Check your thermostat is set to heat
If your thermostat is set to ‘cool’ you won’t feel warm air coming out of your heating vents.
Check your furnace is turned on
Your furnace has a power switch, called the disconnect switch. You’ll find it on the side of the unit or on a nearby wall. If the switch has been turned off by mistake, your furnace won’t be working.
Check your circuit breaker panel
You should see a circuit breaker labeled ‘furnace.’ If it has shut off, fixing your furnace may be as easy as flipping the breaker to the correct position.
Check your exterior furnace vents
Find the furnace vents that lead from the outside of your home to your heating system. If they become blocked by snow, ice, debris, or small animals it could affect the performance of your furnace. A thorough vent inspection should be left to a professional.
Check your furnace filter
Most filters need to be cleaned or changed every three months, or according to the recommendations of your equipment manufacturer. A dirty filter means your furnace needs to work harder to heat your home. If you’re not sure which type of filter your unit needs, or how to change it, Reliance™ can help.
