CleanBC, BC Hydro and FortisBC offer rebates up to $6,000 for the purchase and installation of a rebate eligible heat pump, depending on how you currently heat your home.

FURNACE
Natural Gas Furnace Rebate from Fortis BC
Replace your old natural gas furnace with an eligible ENERGY STAR®️ model and you could qualify for a rebate of up to $1,000. Plus, if you install an eligible connected thermostat, you could qualify for an additional $150 rebate.
Before beginning work, make sure you qualify for this rebate by reviewing the Program Rebate Requirements, as outlined in the terms and conditions and the eligibility and rebate details below.
Natural Gas Wall Furnace Rebate
Install a wall furnace/direct vent room heater— and you may be eligible for a $700 dollar rebate. A wall furnace can be added to your home’s existing heating system to reach those cold spots, or provide cost-effective heating for a home where the ducts and venting required by a central heating system aren’t feasible. To be eligible you must submit a prequalification application before installation, product must meet BC code requirements, and the rebate is only eligible for existing homes. Add an eligible water heater to your upgrade for an additional $400 rebate.
WATER HEATER
Natural Gas Water Heater Rebate
BC Hydro, Fortis BC and CleanBC are working together to offer Home owners up to $1000 in rebates to upgrade their existing water heater to a qualifying natural gas ENERGY STAR®️ water heater.
Applications must be submitted within six months of the paid invoice date. Only certain eligible water heaters qualify. The home must be a year-round primary residence at least 12 months old and be either a single-family, duplex, triplex, row home, townhouse or mobile home on a permanent foundation.
COMBINATION HEATING AND HOT WATER SYSTEM
Natural Gas Boiler and Combination Heating and Hot Water system
Replace your old natural gas boiler with an eligible ENERGY STAR®️ boiler and you could qualify for a $1,000 rebate. Or replace your old natural gas space heating system with an eligible combination heating and hot water system and you could qualify for a $1,500 rebate. The new boiler or combination system must be replacing an existing natural gas primary space heating system that’s a minimum of 10 years old. You must install an eligible ENERGY STAR boiler or an eligible combination heating and hot water system. The new boiler or combination system must be installed by a Technical Safety BC licensed gas contractor with a GST number and valid BC business license.

Saskatchewan homeowners could save up to $2,100 in provincial income tax by claiming a 10.5 per cent tax credit on up to $20,000 of eligible home renovation expenses.

These programs are not owned or operated by Reliance™ and are subject to change without notice. Please check with the incentive provider directly to confirm eligibility and timelines.
