How to troubleshoot your Air Conditioner

AC Troubleshooting

Sometimes homeowners could solve cooling issues by running through some simple troubleshooting points. Review this checklist – it could save you a service visit.

Filter: A clogged or blocked furnace filter could reduce cool air entering your home and may even cause the unit to stop working.
Thermostat: Turn the thermostat to ‘cool’ and set the temperature 3-5 degrees below the current room temperate. Although it’s tempting don’t turn the thermostat lower than that to start it or it could cause additional issues.
