Check your thermostat setting

It’s easy to forget to change your thermostat setting to ‘heat’ when winter hits. Furthermore, sometimes the setting is changed by accident and no one notices until you feel the chill in the air. If your home lacks heat, it’s always a good idea to check your thermostat setting – just in case.

Check your furnace switch

Many homeowners don’t realize that their furnace has a disconnect switch. Located on the side of the unit or on a nearby wall, this safety feature is designed to disconnect the power.
