With all of the rebate programs to consider, it can be hard to know where to start. Below we’ve provided a list of government rebates you may qualify for and some FAQs. FAQ for Government Rebates* on Heating and Cooling Systems
The Enbridge Home Energy Conservation Rebate is a natural gas utility heating rebate based on a number of energy-saving measures for homes such as: insulation, air sealing, furnace and water heater replacement.
Reliance can arrange for a Certified Energy Auditor to complete a pre-retrofit and post-retrofit energy audit of your home. The Certified Home Energy Auditor will collect and submit all necessary documentation to Enbridge. The rebate cheque will be administered directly with Enbridge.
Both pre- and post-retrofit energy audits must be completed by December 31, 2018**.

The Union Gas Home Reno Rebate is a natural gas utility home heating rebate based on a number of energy-saving measures including: insulation, air sealing, furnace and water heater replacement.
Reliance Home Comfort can arrange for a Certified Energy Advisor to complete a pre-renovation and post-renovation energy assessment of your home. The Certified Energy Advisor will then submit all necessary documentation to Union Gas. You will receive your rebate cheque within approximately 90 business days of Union Gas receiving the submission.
Both pre- and post-renovation energy assessments must be completed by December 31, 2018**.

Eligible equipment installed by a participating contractor between January 1, 2018, and December 31, 2018, may qualify for the IESO’s Save on Energy heating and cooling incentive. Reliance Home Comfort™ is an eligible contractor and can submit the rebate application on your behalf.

To qualify for this Save on Energy home heating rebate, a new high efficiency replacement furnace equipped with an ECM motor must be installed by a participating contractor by December 31, 2018. Reliance Home Comfort is a participating contractor with a wide variety of energy efficiency options that qualify.

An ECM (Electronically Commutated Motor) is a brushless motor technology in forced air heating applications that works to reduce the electrical consumption of the furnace motor by as much as 60% (over a standard motor).
ENERGY STAR certified air conditioning systems of at least 18 SEER and 13 EER efficiency ratings installed by a participating contractor may qualify for a Save on Energy $600 air conditioner rebate**. Reliance Home Comfort is a participating contractor with a wide variety of cooling options that qualify. This rebate is administered through either Union Gas or Enbridge. Customers must perform two energy audits in order to qualify.

Save on Energy incentive forms are available online. Once your heating and cooling installation is completed, Reliance Home Comfort can help you with information for the incentive form including equipment and serial model numbers. Be sure to provide your email address to your Home Comfort Advisor so you can proceed easily with the next steps. Reliance will send your completed incentive form to IESO for you.
You will receive an email from IESO asking you to review and approve your heating and air conditioning details as outlined on your incentive form.
Send into IESO, your proof of purchase (i.e. copy of your invoice) and a copy of your signed incentive form by email, fax or mail. You will find instructions and contact information outlined on the incentive form.
You’ll receive your rebate cheque in the mail approximately 6 to 8 weeks after the IESO receives your completed incentive form and proof of purchase (provided you are eligible and your incentive submission is approved).
